Project Details
Summary
This project aims to explore and expand the field of experimentation and laboratories in arts, communications and education in Latinamerica through a partnership between Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA) and Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), with the support from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) en Medellín. At the Faculties of Communications and Arts in these universities there has been a historical interest in practice-based research. Our proposal is to focus on the experimental practices in the aforementioned areas in order to broaden perspectives on experimentation and undisciplinary practices at the graduate and postgraduate level. The scope of the project is to experiment with possibilities of creating new educational practices associated with experimental practices. Both teaching and researching experimentation and experimenting with formats of teaching and researching in the spirit of a network, or a rhizome as it is understood in the media arts and communications. This proposal then draws on networking from two perspectives: connections between fields of knowledge and exchanges between countries.
