Abstract
This paper analyze the 141 industrial group -manufacture of wearing apparel, except fur garments-to know their characteristics in metropolitan areas with greater participation by number of establishments this data from the Annual Survey of Manufacturing (ASM), Colombia, 2013. The methodology used was descriptive and comparative. Exploring variables looks for relevant elements of the sector, characterized to be a great national employer and be formed by microenterprises. The results allow observing differences by metropolitan areas and characteristics of the sector's companies according to their size by number of employees.
