Abstract

Administrative and social sciences always make analogies with the natural sciences in order to enrich the scientific heritage to support the process of building science. This article deals with a bibliometric exercise on the concepts of innovation systems, ecosystem of innovation and ecosystem, with the aim of analyzing the use of the expression innovation ecosystem and thus demonstrate to the academic, administrative and social community that the use of the term ecosystem in areas such as innovation is not only redundant, but of low academic and scientific rigor.
