Abstract
This paper shows evidence of the role of the road system in reducing economic disparities in a developing economy, with strong and general inequality problems such as those found in Colombia. Under the theoretical support of a reformulation of the Krugman model (1991) with primary, secondary and tertiary road densities, an estimate of a spatial conditional convergence equation is carried out for 125 municipalities in the department of Antioquia (Colombia).
