Abstract
We report the case of a male patient, aged 40 years, with knee and lumbar spine arthropathy secondary to confirmed ochronosis. Although this is an infrequent disease, it is necessary to take it into account in the differential diagnosis of articular lesions and spondyloarthropathy in young patient Historic, biochemical, clinical and therapeutic aspects of the disease are briefly reviewed.
