Abstract
The objective of this study was the adaptation of sampling and characterization methodologies for the measurement of both gaseous and particulate emissions, used in automotive engine certification standards, to be used in stationary engines for generation and cogeneration applications. The results were compared with off-road vehicles and marine engine standards. The results indicate that it is necessary to impose new regulations to adapt this kind of engines to future emissions regulations.
