Abstract

The article, in the framework of the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Pacific Alliance, proposes a trade study on the evolution of trade exchanges, intra-bloc trade interdependence and the structure of the basket of imports and exports of each country of the alliance with the other members of the alliance. It uses a quantitative methodology, based on the review of trade exchanges for the elaboration of international trade indicators: participation of both imports and exports to and from the Pacific Alliance, behavior of each of the trade balances and the product concentration index. Significant and positive changes in the terms of trade are determined, the most outstanding case being that of Colombia, where a gradual increase in exports to the other members and a gradual decrease in the trade balance deficit are observed.
