Abstract

Language is a fundamental part of the communication in any society, there are people with difficulties to perceive and pronounce the characteristics sounds of the common language. The sign language was designed for these people, which can be characterized by implementing technological advances that are currently present. The objective of this work is to design a prototype that allows process changes introduced into a system of resistive sensors coupled to a Lilypad Arduino microcontroller. To develop this project, the first step was study the behavior of each implemented component, after that were implemented in the design of the glove. With the glove design finished, we could proceed to develop a graphical interface in Matlab, which can characterize and visualize the movements made by each articulation of the fingers
