    Abstract

    We present the development of a computer algorithm for sequence alignment, implemented on a computer cluster at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Bucaramanga Branch. It uses the Linux operating system and the OSCAR configuration tool for deploying applications in parallel. We also compare the performance of clusters with different file sizes and number of processing nodes.
