Development and Implementation of Ultrasound-Based Non-Destructive Testing for Hydrogen Pipelines and Systems

This proposal aims to pioneer an innovative ultrasound-based non-destructive testing method specifically designed for hydrogen pipelines and systems. Utilizing the Verasonics Vantage Research Platform, an advanced ultrasound platform located at UPB University, this initiative will establish strategic partnerships with key local industry players as EPM in Colombia. The project outcomes will not only enable researchers to seek additional government funding but also contribute to the social appropriation of knowledge related to ultrasound applications in industry and the safe integration of hydrogen technologies into the existing gas pipeline infrastructure in the country
