    Resumen

One of the worst ways to violate the rights of children and adolescents is through commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC). This sexual violence affects minors, which are sexually abused and used for profit. This study aims to identify the attitudes and practices that higher education students in tourism-related programs have about Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism (SECTT). Thus, a CAP survey was designed and applied to students of the Tourism Business Administration program at the University of Medellin. The results show the lack of knowledge for the identification and prevention of this crime and its modality in the context of travel and tourism, as well as the ignorance of the procedure to denounce and assume professional and legal responsibilities as future service providers. We concluded that as part of the co-responsibility of the academy, the curriculum of the undergraduate programs in tourism should be improved to guarantee a sustainable, responsible and crime-free tourism industry, which must protects the rights of children and adolescents.
