    Resumen

The aim of this study was produced silver nanoparticles using chemical reduction method and controlling size through pH variation. The nanoparticles had been characterized by studying their structural and morphological properties through UV-vis spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering. Our results indicate that with the variation of pH levels can be obtained smaller silver nanoparticles. These nanoparticles could be evaluated as antimicrobial agents for potential use as a barrier control of hospital acquired infections.
