    Resumen

OBJECTIVE: To determine the concordance and correlation of the formulas for the estimated glomerular filtration rate with the 24-hour urine creatinine clearance. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective cohort study, which from January 1st to December 31th 2017 included renal control patients between 18 and 70 years of age who voluntarily attended a reference laboratory; absolute frequencies, percentages, standard deviation were determined; the %2 test was used to determine the differences between the categorical variables and the Student's t test to determine the differences between the continuous variables. The reliability and concordance of the measurements was validated by means of Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and Bland-Altman graphics were made to estimate the deviation between the four formulas. RESULTS: The population, object of study, was 557 corresponding to stages 3 and 4 that by definition present chronic kidney disease with GFR lesser than 60 mL/min/J.73 m2 and greater than 15 mL/min/m2. CONCLUSIONS: The eGFR formulas in the Colombian population have a regular correlation compared to 24-hour urine clearance with a reliable sample and without proteinuria; these formulas must be adjusted to our population. The behavior of equations to evaluate kidney function in groups of patients with specific characteristics and application continues to be limited in a generalized way due to the poor concordance observed in different studies worldwide.
