Resumen

This paper presents the results of the life cycle analysis of the evaporation and drying technologies through the analysis of curves in S and the calculation of its inflection points based on accumulated articles and patents. Study was carried out through the application of 13 non-linear regression models and the validation of inflection points in each of the technologies through the adjusted R2, value T, value P and Durbin-Watson. The winning models in the drying technology were Sigmoidal, Logistic, Gompertz in articles; in terms of evaporation the winning models were Sigmoidal and Logistic for articles and Sigmoidal, Logistic and Weibull for patents. The results show that the inflection points for drying occurred in the period 2009-2013 for articles; for its part for patents was 2010-2011. In the case of evaporation the calculated inflection points were 2024 for articles and the 2016-2017 period for patents. In the four aspects analyzed (articles and patents for drying and evaporation) only one of them showed a turning point in the future, the articles in evaporation, suggesting that at present the dynamics of publications in evaporation is still high.
