Resumen
Using disaccharides in green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles (NPs) is an alternative route to traditional processes of nanostructure development, which reduces the degree of incompatibility of these structures with the biological model. The aim of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of gold and silver nanoparticles synthesized from chemical reduction method with sucrose on in vitro model of cardiomyocytes RL-14. The nanoparticles obtained because of synthesis were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, which allowed determining the surface plasmon resonance and experimental particle sizes; likewise, the cell viability assay by MTT was performed to find IC50 of cell growth inhibition of cardiomyocytes. The results showed that variation in cytotoxicity levels are dependent on particle diameter and concentrations of each type of nanostructure.
