Resumen

Distillation is one of the core processes in some sectors of the industry, such as petrochemicals, food, pharmaceuticals and others. One of the main characteristics of distillation is the ability to allow the separation of components through heating processes, to extract valuable products used in the different fields of the economy. The purpose of this work is the modeling and design of a binary distillation unit at the laboratory level, modular, compact, versatile and automated, integrating the control and supervision of the process through a friendly and reliable platform, within a controlled and safe environment. Among the results obtained from this project are the simulation in MATLAB and the design of the pilot distillation unit.
