N2 - This article is derived from a research project aimed at designing an educommunicative strategy to promote the popular culture of the Colombian Caribbean through the oral tradition of myths and legends in educational institutions in the Department of Córdoba. It follows a qualitative, exploratory approach based on multiple case studies. Using creation and design methodologies, the study worked with a random sample of fifth- and sixth-grade students from both public and private educational institutions in the city of Montería.Through document analysis, structured interviews, focus groups, and workshops with the population, findings were obtained for the systematization of Córdoba's myths and legends, as well as inputs for designing a crossmedia tool to promote popular culture across analog and digital media. It was concluded that the population expresses interest in learning about myths through digital narratives and formats, alongside a preference for printed curricular models for multimodal, personalized, and interactive learning. Furthermore, digital platforms were identified as tools for preserving popular culture within the school curriculum and the cultural memory of the department.
