Resumen

The entropic characterization of the vocalizations of two neotropical anurans, the Eleutherodactylus coquí and the Eleutherodactylus brittoni, is achieved by measuring the entropy of its time-frequency representation. This representation is found by the Cyclic Short Time Fourier Transform (CSTFT) operation. Four different entropies are studied: Shannon, Rènyi, Tsallis-Havrda-Charvát, and Wavelet. Results on entropy measures show no significant structural differences in the waveform of the entropy for the Shannon, Rènyi and Tsallis-Harvda-Charvát, when plotted against time translation indexation. However, it is demonstrated that the wavelet entropy reveal waveform structural changes when compared to the former entropy measures formulations.
