    Resumen

Disability has been described by many perspectives, including medical, administrative, economic, and socio-political. Like the human body, organizations are also affected by organic dysfunctions. either in whole or in part. This article presents a theoretical proposal that seeks to bring all the developments on disability in other sciences (mainly in the field of health) to the organizational field to understand how difficulties and limitations in basic and specialized capacities can negatively affect the innovation capacities of organizations. The proposal presented leads to a different view of the problems that arise within organizations, which would lead to developing various strategies that help improve the health of organizations, considering that their good condition does not depend on the absence of diseases, but the ability they possess to anticipate and deal with them.
