Resumen
The article focuses on the relations established between the print media and radio broadcasting during the first half of the 20th century in Colombia, and their impact in shaping a radial audience. I consider the print media as an important factor in the process of introducing radio broadcasting in the country, because in the early years
of radio the newspapers and magazines became the vehicle that made possible their expansion to a wider audience. Later on, the newspapers and magazines focus in the radio as a profitable industry; and its pages expressed discussions about program
criteria that determined the course of its operation.
