Resumen

Although quantum mechanics originated as a requirement to explain the structure of matter based on an atomic theory, its development is closely related to phenomena associated with radiation and matter-radiation interaction. This paper aims to highlight the role of spectroscopy in consolidating quantum mechanics, not only as a theory but also as the foundation for technologies that have revolutionized human life. A reflection is done on the urgent need to develop innovative methodological proposals for teaching and learning quantum mechanics today. This reflection aims to transcend the limitations of traditional science education programs by integrating quantum mechanics into the training of professionals who will undoubtedly spearhead the next quantum revolution.
