Resumen
This article aims to show how two of the so-called ‘youth poems’ written by the Colombian poet Aurelio Arturo (1906-1974), when viewed in the context of the processes of economic modernization adopted by the country in the early twentieth century, conceive animals, moors, rivers, valleys, trails and fields not like simple poetic concessions of a pastoral world, but more like poetic signs more than useful to think about both the ecological and environmental problems that take place during that period.
