Resumen
This paper presents an approach for the evaluation of risk impact of changes to Completion Times (CT) based on the use of the Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and addressing identification, treatment and analysis of uncertainties in an integrated manner. CT is the maximum outage time a safety related equipment is allowed to be down, e.g., for corrective maintenance, which is established within the Limiting Conditions for Operation (LCO) included into Technical Specifications (TS) for operation of a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). A case study that focuses on a CT change of the Accumulators System of a Nuclear Power Plant using a level 1 PRA is provided.
