Resumen

Introduction: Drug resistance tuberculosis is a leading public health problem. Its detection might reduce his economic and disease burden and the impact on health systems worldwide. Objective: To conduct a literature systematic review to study the diagnostic accuracy of three molecular tests to detect drug resistance tuberculosis. Materials and methods: A literature systematic review was conducted to study the diagnostic accuracy of drug resistance tests. Articles indexed in Medline and Embase were reviewed from 2007. Diagnostic accuracy was reported by sensibility, specificity, positive predictive values and negative predictive values of each test. Results: In total, 8, 12 and 13 studies were included to study the diagnostic accuracy of GeneXpert®MTB/RIF, GenoType®MTBDRplus and GenoType®MTBDRsl, respectively. The specificity of GeneXpert®MTB/RIF ranges from 91 to 100% and his sensitivity from 33.3 to 100%. The sensitivity of GenoType®MTBDRplus ranges from 88 to 100%. The sensitivity and specificity of GenoType®MTBDRsl to evaluate drug resistance ranges from 56-100% and 21-100%, respectively. Conclusion: The diagnostic tests evaluated have showed an adequate diagnostic accuracy to detect drug resistance tuberculosis.
