Resumen
This study presents a prospective analysis of six agroindustrial chains in the department of Quindío, Colombia: specialty coffee, citrus, leather, cold climate fruit, dairy, and bananas. The Delphi method was employed as a means of facilitating the analysis. Through consultations with experts, the key trends that could influence the future of these agroindustrial chains were identified, with particular emphasis placed on the significance of technological innovation, shifts in market demand, and the role of public policies. The results illustrate both areas of consensus and divergence among the experts’ opinions, reflecting the inherent complexities of each chain. The findings of this analysis provide a robust foundation for strategic decision-making aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of these chains within the context of a dynamic and globalized environment. The findings underscore the necessity for coordinated strategic planning among pivotal stakeholders to proactively address challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Furthermore, prospective avenues of inquiry are delineated, to conduct a more comprehensive examination of the elements that have been identified as pivotal for the advancement of these chains.
