    Resumen

    Within the last few years Colombian industries have been forced into the need of using conventional cathodic protection units (based on transformers) due to the low quality energy within the electrical grid and to the high rate of lightnings and electric shocks from the atmosphere. This paper shows controlled rectifiers for applications on cathodic protection, by developing the modeling of the system and developing a PWM modulation implementation as a control alternative.
