Resumen
Various areas of Colombia meet their energy needs from the generation of electricity with Diesel generators since they are not connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN for its acronym in Spanish). In some of these areas, generation systems have been installed from unconventional sources, whose characteristics make them ideal power systems to propose and evaluate different protection strategies and schemes. Due to the importance of maintaining the electrical service in these populations, in this work the installation of a recloser in different parts of the system is proposed to increase the reliability of the network in the event of failures in different parts of the distribution system and its stability is evaluated in the same way with the operation of these devices through RMS simulations.
