Standardized methodology to create and simulate automation of industrial processes using joins and splits

Resumen

Splits and joins are one of the major issues that Petri nets have since they can simulate a great variety of industrial processes. This paper introduces a new Petri net called LDPN (Ladder Diagram Petri Net). The new LDPN combines the graphical representation used in classical Petri nets with a new equation derived from standardized ladder circuits. In addition, the new net can easily translate Petri net into ladder circuits.
