Resumen
The present review arises in the framework of the study “Scientific research in academic cultures: Interpretative and propositional analysis in social sciences (2009-2019)”. This article takes up the normalization of new mechanisms and ways of promoting scientific activity, with the excuse of progress and development, in Latin America and Colombia. In this, the university began to be the center, not only educational, but also of support to research, but a homogeneously conceived one. Since then, changes have been generating transformations concerning the production of knowledge, but without taking into account the particularity of academic cultures in higher education; hence, the achievement of a solid and adequate research process requires the study of academic cultures in universities. After a documentary and systematic design, it was possible to analyze and identify trends in the study of academic cultures: disciplinary academic culture, institutional academic culture, and academic culture of program formation. Together with the influence of the national and international context that delimits. On the other hand, it was possible to recognize the most studied communities and those that require deepening or initiation of studies to make visible their forms of production, communication, and validation of knowledge.
