Resumen

This article reports a Technology Watch study that was made in the department of Quindio (Colombia), framed into the Quindío Innova project, in order to identify the main trends about technologies for the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector in Quindío. From this identification, a posterior analysis was performed on the lifecycle of technology using the SCurves methodology for determining the current state of technology under review. In this way, entrepreneurs and academics interested in the identified technologies can have a knowledge base that allows decisions taking processes about how to address the technological challenges that are derived.
