N2 - In this article, the methodology and results of an exercise technological surveillance for the tourism sector in the project Quindio Innova is described. The S curve methodology was applied with the data series of articles related to business assessment and product life-cycle management in the tourism sector, consulting bibliographic database Scopus and Freepatents. For the generation of S curves, SigmaPlot software was used, by which the inflection point was calculated the data series, from the application of statistical parameters, such as adjusted R2, value T, value P, and Durbin Watson. The data of articles and patents were analyzed from thirteen models running software such as sigmoidal Logistic, Weibull and Gompertz, among others, selecting models with better statistical fit through which was possible to define the inflection point. This was in 2013 according to the data series of articles for the technology business assessment and between 1990 and 1992 for the understanding of the product life-cycle management in tourism, indicating that in both cases the life cycle technology or knowledge is in the maturity phase.
